Château l'Hospitalet
La Reserve La Clape Syrah Blend
Coteaux du Languedoc La Clape, Languedoc, Languedoc Roussillon, France
Fruit and chocolate on the nose. Dark red fruit, acidity and pretty lean considering the tannins. A dry bitterness remains in the aftertaste.

Easy drinking light tannins. Good with food.

Apr 2nd, 2017How much correct serving temperature can change! Served to cold, closed, muted, tasted quite good, but was short in palate & finish. Warmed up to 17C, and suddenly we can feel this GSM is alive. Rich bouquet of plum, black currant & aronia, mocha and chocolate. In 👄 starting softly, but tannins attack quickly - so no time to relax & mouth may shrink a bit. Not so fruity in palate, rather savory, oaky but still feel fresh I would say medium + body 🍷. Cheers
