K&L Wines Fete du Bordeaux at One Market restaurant. On the nose: stewed plum , coffee, black fruit. Taste: dark fruit, tobacco, tea, slightly bitter tannin.

Beautiful rich nose, meat, smoke, sl.Brett, dark fruit. Good extract, bright acid, Brett, nice balance, but lacks depth.

LUNCH BAGS! Off vintage showing quite nicely. Lots of bright red fruits, graphite, and earth.

2001 LB. Opened and decanted for one hour. Tons of wild cherries, truffle, charcoal, tar and hickory bacon with pleasant violet candy. So savory on the palate. Extremely silky and satisfying. Long, complex finish.

Top wine of 2014 for me. Licorice, mint, minerals, black berry, with fine tannin, great acid and moderate alcohol. 2001 Lynch-Bages, I could drink you all day

Very nice but not quite at the same level as the one we had a couple years ago. Certainly extremely Bordeaux in terms of typicity. Paired with some La boite peppercorn blend crusted wagyu filets from Allen brothers. Definitely ready to go, opened with cork pop for 3.5 hours and decanted for 1.
