Garnet, translucent. Smell: green tobacco, black currant, slight wet dog. Taste: light fruit, lower tannins, nice cobbler finish. TWS tasting.

Oct 29th, 2017Can be hard in Charleston to find quality Bordeaux with any age so I usually pounce when I get the chance. This did not disappoint and took me on a bit of a ride. Initially, it smelled and tasted a bit past it's prime but pleasant, and as it aired the fruit came back to life and it got better as the night went on. I ended up regretting opening this too early, as I think this is possibly still on the upswing. Classic dusty undertones and tobacco surrounded by well rounded fruit notes and a long finish. Great bottle of wine.
