Inky earthy black currant, blueberry, black cherry focused dusty tannins smooth long finish

Black fruit: currant, cassis, blackberry, plum, with dense, unctuous, almost resinous-like texture. This is bold, potent and crammed with sweet earth, allspice and smoked red bell peppers.

Tons of fruit - really gaining depth with air - restrained tobacco and cocoa notes - lower acidity than I imagined - pleasure to drink now

Napa-like nose, but old world on the palate. Big but not without grace.

Delicious voluptuous silken tannins! I want to drink more!!!

Still youthful that needed some air to show dark fruits, graphite, spice, floral & tobacco notes

This is again a great wine, one of the better vintages of this classic Margaux estate. Such a shame it’s our last bottle. Still a powerful mid palate with dark cassis tones with the old fashioned cigar box with matches in it😉 and a great balance in this impressive wine.

I love this wine, perfect nose with spices and great perfume. This is delicate drinking but still there at the age of 17

Just drinking lovely right now. Classic Margaux perfume - black fruits and graphite. Chewy tannins and a long finish. Nothing to argue with here. 2005 BDX vintage is in a really nice spot right now.

Youthful, structured & still primary that I find in most 05’s. Lots of dark inky fruit, graphite, mocha, leather & tobacco. Will need another 5 yrs.
