It was like singing lullabies until the headliner came on stage. Once it gets tuned up, it's sings. @Jeffrey Lew thanks for sharing!

My first Margaux, and it was great. Way too young, but showing its potential. Barnyard funk on the nose. Quite tannic, with loads of fruit. Medium oak treatment. Leave this for another 5 years. Shame to rate it now.

Color is a deep purple garnet with a touch of bricking. Nose—bursts with blackberry, floral and cedar with green veggies, vanilla, smoky menthol, and cedar lingering. Taste—classic Bordeaux: silky, smooth and a medium plus body flavors of plum, stewed meat, minerals and smoked cedar. Lingered tastes of tobacco and subtle vanilla giving it moderate dry finish. A fantastic luscious wine to drink on a nice semi-warm Labor Day weekend evening.

2 hour decant(some chunky/fine sediment). A wondrous dark purplish garnet color. On the nose: wafting from the glass are blackberry, cedar, leather, vanilla smokey menthol, green veggie, and floral. Taste: BAM! A smooth, opulent, fresh, silky medium plus body wine with plum, smoke, cedar, cassis, minerals, and a vanilla tobacco semi dry long finish. YUM! What a treat to drink...no heat or overripe fruit which hit some others this vintage. Drinks great, but no hurry.
