Ripe red cherry, sanguine characters, fruit cake [giveaway: St Emilion] allspice, tobacco. High tannins (the grip indicates a vintage with heat spikes) — tasted at the blind tasting session by Mary Gorman-McAdams

Drank 10/11/18. Tasting pour.
Nose of sweet plumbs, blackberry, raspberry liquer, and raisins. Big palate of black fruit, cocoa, and earth. Firm but well integrated tannins, long finish. One of the more closed 15's I've tasted. Give it 5 or more years to come together.
4/22/9/5/4 +50 = 94 Pts

Cocoa powder, wild strawberries, early rose garden, play dough, hints of mint in the bouquet. Blueberry black cherry, strong tart black tea tannins on the finish. Needed to decant longer but very unique and fascinating St Emilion red.

Excellent wine, but was paired with a gumbo. Full bodied wine, would be excellent with a steak.

High tannins. Did not open. Probably opened it several years too soon.

Very dry. Too tannic and did not open. Inky color and very concentrated. Was OK with a steak.

Admittedly I’m drinking this way too early, but it’s complex while extremely dry on the finish. Richness with little interference from oak, this wine wine will develop over time. Our group was 50:50 on this wine.
