Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

Ex-magnum. Stunning. So plush and opulent yet with great structure, length and persistence. Sitting a great drink window right now I suspect.

Very dark garnet, nose of damp earth and black fruits. After airing fairy smooth, a touch jammy, black plum, mild@tannins, acidity at the end. Very good but does need flavorful food against it.

Still catching up from two weeks ago. Well wasn’t this quite the joy! Slightly shy upon opening, with more red fruit on the palate. Developed considerably in the glass and bottle, filling out with black fruit and a tight, beautiful tannin core. Seems in a great place right now but with years ahead of it.

One of my favorites

Rather closed at this stage but tight and concentrated with a delicious core of red and black fruit waiting to unfurl. Pencil shaving aromas, firm tannins. Rather delicious to drink already but clearly will benefit greatly from time. Lots of promise.

Perfumed. Turkish delight, earth, smoked meat. Looking the goods!
