Bright, fresh and fruity, just the opposite of the heavy and alcoholic Zins of my youth. This lighter style reminds me of a sleek red Rhône or even a Pinot Noir. Surprising and amazing. We enjoyed the 2014 vintage with grilled prime NY steak.
