Deep dark opaque blackish purple. Notes of mocha, black fruit, stone, eucalyptus, and warm berry pie. Nice mouth feel with integrated tannins. Finish is a bit flat though.

Apologies in advance for the not so insightful notes. More Bordeaux like, elegant, not as ripe as the Harlan. In the 90s Californian winemakers were emulating the Bordeaux style. Very different now of course. Well into the secondary notes with some earthiness and graphite.

Aged nicely! Lower alcohol at 13.9%. Still some fruit upfront but smooth and gentle. Reminds me of old world wine. Happy Birthday to Alexis!

Excellent aroma with chocolate palette.
16yrs old one but it feels still young, showing light tannin and trend of young California cabs. Enjoyed this well.
