This is a big boy, a palate smasher. Dense and grippy, red currant, licorice, earth, funk, barrel char. Good acid - this reminds me of south Napa - think stags leap / coombsville for a third of the price. Needs air or a bit more sleep.

The flavors are rustic in nature with jammy, earthy black fruits prominent. Not overly complex with a somewhat astringent finish of modest length.
