Red raspberries on the nose morphing to black raspberries and cassis on the palate. Deep purple wine with an edge that is starting to go clear. Nicely integrated tannins. Finish is medium. Perhaps a hint of oxidation at the end of the finish. Nothing here to dislike.

I love this Bordeaux- savory jerky notes, dusty books (I know that's weird, but that's what it reminds me of), dried black cherry, wet mushrooms and surprisingly grippy tannins but showing its age beautifully. Paired fantastically with beef short ribs and mushrooms.

Dark colour, full bodied, let breath a while. Not easy drinking.

Well-balanced Bordeaux. Very enjoyable. Decanted 1 hour. Paired nicely with herb-crusted grilled lamb chops.

2005 in 2015. Well balanced and subtle. Decanted 1.5 h. Good for a few more years.

Lots of dark cherry and blackberry, with notes of pomegranate and savories. Good mouthfeel, with still young tannins that make it a bit monochromatic until it gets some air. Great value.

A solid Bordeaux for only $20! This wine is not complex, and the finish is short, but there's plenty of earthy, Old World goodness. Mushrooms, wet soil, and manure, and a hint of white pepper come before the mix of red and blue fruit. The tannins are definitely present, but with alcohol at only 13%, this wine pulls off some great finesse despite it's lower price point. I really enjoyed with a grilled mushroom cheeseburger, and truffle fries.

Very good 2005Bordeaux. So nice even for a little known chateau.
