Sour red fruit note paired with booming acidity retract from ponderous beginnings. Dumped it in the decanter and will update if there's a full scale change.

Chateau is located the furthest south in the Madiran appellation. Dates from the 17th century and acquired by Jean Jacques Lesgourgues in 1999. A blend of 70% Tannat, 25% Cab Franc & 5% Cab Sauv. Dark Ruby with concentrated berry aromas and sweet spice. On the palate raspberry jam with notes of vanilla and bits of pepper. Big strong ripe tannins, structured, lingering ending with an underlying mineral character. Good value, drink now! Tasting Sample.
