This is the second wine in my vertical tasting. It has bigger fruit than the 2010 and more tannin. My friends like this one best. It is still a young wine and would improve with age. It has plenty of rush vibrant fruit so it should age very well.

Ripe berry fruit aromas and flavors. Notes of cassis, violets, black licorice, wood and tobacco. Herbal and dark chocolate notes on the long and well structured finish. Beautiful. Second wine of Pichon Baron. Thanks Kase!

Dusty, earthy notes. Pencil shavings and black fruits. Great tannins. Like a basketball atop a freshly paved asphalt.

Medium garnet with cherry undertones. Currant, toasted oak, blackberry cobbler, and damp moss on the nose. The second wine of a second growth, this absolutely possesses the class and structure of much more expensive cousins, without the ageability. Bright cherries, sweet blueberry, vanilla, and oak dominate the palate. Made to drink now, a lovely Bordeaux.
