Dark reddish-bluish color; youthful nose pumping with pyrazines like green bell peppers, and with dark cherries, black currant, baking spices, and soft dripping dense fruit cake; a heavyweight on the acids, welterweight on alcohol and tannin, and a lightweight on complexity. Good, not great. Paired well with dutch and danish cheeses and Prokofiev’s 1st violin concerto. Love Fridays!

After 6 hours decanting (by accident), the wine is dark ruby with inky purple notes and a high viscosity; the nose - the best aspect of this wine - is packed with red cherries and dried plums and figs, earthy leafy leather, sage, and light tobacco; taste is somewhat disjointed although the tannins stick with the right intensity to the right oral surfaces and the acid, fruit profile and finish are great. Had with Greek souvlaki.

15+/20 (85+/100) В первом носе много тонов выдержки в дубе: жареный кофе, тосты; ягод за дубом почти не заметно. Довольно тельное со свежей кислотностью и интенсивными, вяжущими танинами. Умеренно насыщенное во вкусе. Не лучшее крю буржуа в 2014. (19.03.2017) #prowein2017
