I am a-liking this Etna Bianco from Carricante/Catarratto; pale straw and quite hazy (unfiltered); nose of lemonlime, white peach, green apple and green herbs; palate is taut and salty, with some nutty smokiness (tempted to say volcanic, but who knows); medium, clean finish—food-craving. Deep ruby-garnet color; nose of ripe red cherries and plums, dried herbs but not very exciting; on palate dry and concentrated, with firm fine tannins and a long ok finish. Not the best showing of a -15. — 8 days ago
