Vintage 2001 - lovely cherries in taste, cacao impression, lively taste, a bit dusty smell, very clearly liquorice, minerals. Still some tannins, powerful but excellent with some cheese.

Juicy blueberry rollups, candied plum, dry figs, saw dust powder, extremely light earth, dark chocolate powder, soft barrel toast and a elegant blue fruit finish with just the slightest touch of minerals.

Very much alive - integrated tannin, medium aromatics, more fruit than expected. Just over peak. Not haunting by any means but a very good showing.
