Moulis en Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend

A fab recommendation @ €72 (overpriced rip off) from a Shop in St Emilion (£38 in 🇬🇧$60 🇺🇸 😱) that’s one of the best Medocs I’ve had 😍 At peak enjoyment so enjoy 😉 Worth it at £38 not €72 😁

🍷 Opaque deep ruby

👃 Soft damp smoked oak through dark & red earthy berries/currants & dark plum w/ mocha, liquorice, soot & minerals

👄 Med silky creamy body of ripe plum, red & dark berries w/ an earthy mineral & liquorice kick

🎯 Long earthy berry liquorice bang w/ dry mineral linger

Dust, earth and ash on opening.
Few hours later, there’s also notes of meat, blood, broth, herbs and prunes.
Still very nice, but seems like this is starting to show its age.

When bordeaux from a good terroir is inexpensive and mature, then its fun to drink

Very nice. Still has good structure- firm tannins. Little fruit- but what comes through is clean and pure.

Very fine. Classic aged Bordeaux that won't break the bank. Smoke, truffle, oak, black fruit, clay and a tasty green edge.
