Margaux Grand Cru Classé Red Bordeaux Blend

Still lively and delicious!

A forgotten property for much, this 86 was stunning. Generous, voluptuous, the bottle was in perfect condition. It has all the power, throttle I would expect for a 86, one of my fav vintage of the 80's, along with 85 and 89. Bottom line: a wine that delivers, in perfect shape now. This Rauzan is a perfect buy.

This is simply drinking perfect. Pop & Pour. Edit- Drink them all up!

'86 2nd Growth on deck

This was delicious, to put it mildly. Lots of dried cherry, leather - earthy and wonderful...it had everything that makes Margaux special. (As much as the earthquake-ravaged labels evoke memories we'd rather forget, they do add a certain charm to these older bottles!)

In incredibly good shape. Still a burst a grippy tannin after the mostly evolved fruit.

Outstanding vintage w amazing complex aromas of subtle roses fresh leather spice cocoa powder. Tannins are silky acidity still mouthwatering and bright. 12.6% alc and incredibly balanced. Still adecade + ahead of it

Fruit is declining but color is still dark red with mineral texture and black berry fruit. $384??

Brilliant night . This ‘86 Margaux is in a perfect drinking window. Probably good another 35 years. Still bold, generous, and nuance of dark berry, chocolate, and even Far East spice. Lovely treat to enjoy with my son.

でも最後の50ccくらいには渋にがのオリ。
香りはブラックベリー、ハーブ、スパイス、森の土。
ミドルフルボディ。奥深いふくよかさのような広がりは無いが、清々しさ、はつらつさを感じる。alc12.5%,牛肉のグリルに程よく合う。
