Brought to tasting group and presented double-blind. The 2012 Roc de Cambes pours a deep garnet with moderate staining of the tears. There is a little bit of sediment sticking to the side of the glass. Medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is high intensity. It smells like a leather shop with stewed mixed fruits: figs, dates, a little cow pie, tootsie roll, violets, fresh potting soil, herbs, and baking spice. On the palate, the wine is dry and medium+ across the board. Desiccated fruit with raspberries folding into the aforementioned fruit. Some pyrazines and mushrooms with organic earth. Long finish. A gorgeous wine! My second of three and better than my first bottle from four years ago. Drinking well now and I expect it to do so over the next ten years.

Absolute elegance from the owners of Tertre Roteboeuf. Bought a mag for the cellar.

Full bodied, not overly tannic. Nice bottle of Bordeaux at a reasonable price point

A right bank wine. Full of dark fruit, coffee, chocolate and black berry. Slightly off balance with a shorter finish. Nice wine though.

My favourite Bordeaux. Packed with flavour without being overpowering.
