Overachiever. Sweet vanilla, fresh and stewed red and blue fruits. Prune, fig, blueberry, plum, and cherry. Mint. High acid, elevated tannins.

1 person found it helpfulNov 8th, 2019Very dark garnet/purple with a nose of dark fruit , maybe leather and wet earth. Once warmed up from the cooler became very smooth with a dry finish with clear tannins and medium plus acidity and some oak. A great wine for the $.

Kinda standard Bordeaux. Had a slight acidic aftertaste.
Oct 22nd, 201770% Merlot, 30% Cab Franc.
Purple, deep garnet. Increasingly widened rim.
Aromas of plum, coffee, cherry. And with time (2hrs), floral, cranberry, rose, strawberry.
Structurally, starting to dissipate. Tannin completely resolved. Sticking out acidity. Med body. Lots of red fruits with some complex spicy undertone. Finish on a slightly seasoned vanilla goodness.
This wine grew on me every minute of the 2 hrs we tasted it. At the perfect drinking spot right now. No need to wait. 88.

Don't drink much Bordeaux, but if this is what the traditional producers taste like, I want more. Blueberry, slightly leathery, earthy, everything I would want. Tasted just a touch of oak, but was very well integrated
