Le Petit Haut Lafitte Red Bordeaux Blend

Classic Bordeaux. Great blackberry and currant flavors, supplemented by cigar box, leather, and crushed stone. Medium-to-full bodied, with supportive, but velvety, tannins. Inky, with ridiculous legs. Has terrific balance and depth.

Good but not exceptional Bordeaux, and at $47, a disappointment. Powerful, it must be consumed with steak. Almost no nose. One could do as well with many $30 Bordeauxs.

Darkly delicious fruits, black cherry, dark currants and cassis. There's also chocolate, sand, and hints of earth. It's balanced by just enough acidity and tannins. Nice feel in the mouth, almost creamy.

60% carb 40% merlot

Dark fruits, tobacco, rich flavor! Very yummy! Let it open a bit and it will blow your mind.

Full of dark fruit and smooth as silk. A 2nd wine from an unheralded vintage?? Keep em comin!

Friday night juice

Wonderful nose with cherry, hints of tobacco. Slightly tannic and young mouth feel. Long finish. Believe structure will mature nicely with age.

A killer 2nd wine!

Fragrant, spicy and smooth although a nice finish.
