Quite light garnet terracotta , wide rim . Slightly smoky , and earthy dried red berry , hickory , black tea . On the palate this has good high , refreshing acidity and some slightly rustic tannins . Slightly drying mid palate but has certainly survived, a little pinched perhaps but with just enough spicy herbal touches and ok earthy tinged length . Quite fresh and light in style but with just enough stuffing . Drink now . This faded before the others in the glass , certainly more fragile than either the 59 or 49.
