The quest for the perfect Loire cabernet franc continues! This is an odd one. Exceptionally hot weather? Ripe fruit? Alcohol percentage above 14%. Classic cabernet franc on the nose albeit a little closed. Taste is heavier and darker than the usual red berries and reminds me of a rustic Rhone wine with bitter espresso notes and non-trivial tannins.
