1 person found it helpfulMay 12th, 2017Wow a beautiful inky black garnet! Nose - red and black fruits and subtle stewed meat aromas hits your senses followed by perfumed soil, graphite and licorice scents. Taste - Black cherry tart and a jammy mouth coating feel sits on the palate and is nicely concentrated; notes of blackberry fruit, cocoa, oak and earth notes follow with a long pencil lead tannic finish! Absolutely lovely. Looking forward to seeing how it opens up throughout the evening.

Apr 24th, 20221 hour decant(much fine/cloudy sediment). An astounding inky dark garnet color. On the nose: red and black fruit, perfumed floral notes, forest floor, little smoked meat, graphite. Taste: Great juice! Smooth, creamy, intense and concentrated mouth coating wine with blackberry/black cherry, oak, earth, campfire, and a cocoa pencil lead looonnng finish with a slight tannic kick. YUM!! these really need a good 10 years..think I should of decanted a little longer and looking forward how it evolves over the night.
