Whilst enjoying this very fine new world take on old world claret, if old world claret ignored all but the noblest of grapes and that being Cabernet, a gentleman hobo sat down at my table and gifted me the middle finger. Suffice to say this wine elicits strong emotions, some of which are stronger than others. I rate this wine a yee gods man it’s alive, ITS ALIVE but please done try to quantify its greatness using a paltry 10 numbers. — 3 years ago

I generally dismiss most everything ‘97 Napa valley because who loves sludge? Gross generalizations aside, seek the misty mountain tops in this year for the feral reward only the most penitent of palates deserves. This wine is alive and it cares not for your faint hearted flattery. It desires action and verve and sexy jazz flutes from the tabletop of the adjacent couple scared out of their minds for this is the kingdom and the power and the glory you sniveling coward of a man. — 3 years ago

Torn on this one. Obviously a tasty wine albeit at a price point that strikes me as high. Where I struggle with it is it being a facsimile of a wine I already know and love for all its genius, faults and flaws. Why should I pay $15 more for a softer copy of the TRUTH? — 3 years ago
