Decanted 3 hours and definitely needed it! What a treat! Christopher Tynan has done it again. A beautiful multi-layered structured built wine. Purple dense plum garnet in color Nose- Dark blueberry fruit hits the nose, wow! Lingers with spice cedar, black licorice and forest floor menthol. Tasteā€” dark black berry peet forest hits the palette. Decanted 3 hours and definitely needed it and needs more time. Earthy rich slight vanilla tart medium finish lingering with notes of pepper cedar subtle cigar and ash like baking cinnamon spice flavors. The structure is big and unfolds slowly. It reminds me of a warm holiday kitchen. Could definitely lay down several more years.

Double decanted for 13 hours. Still very youthful, but you can start to see where this is headed. I will hold off opening another bottle for a few years.

Luv the noseā€”a burst of sweet deep cherry chocolate and pine licorice spice. Rich, pure and beautiful dark purple-garnet color. Explodes with blue and blackberry fruitā€”smoky, tar and coffee-chocolate linger. Tannins are present but smooth. This can definitely age another 10 years. Luscious and layered. A must try!

Such a distinct cab, unlike any Cali cab...from a small vineyard above St Helena, planted in the 1970s, only produces 3 barrels by Tynan (winemaker at Lede Family Wines). Buying since initial 2012 vintage...see RP 100pt review of the 2013(wow!!).

3 hour decant (min sediment). A brooding inky dark garnet color. On the nose: blue fruit, floral, sweet cherry, spice, pine tree all burst from the glass. Taste: blueberry, blackberry, smoke, minerals, tar...rich and lush mouthfeel with firm tannins that goes on and on. More time in the cellar should benefit my remaining bottles!
