Simply one of my favorite wines from a winery that is criminally underappreciated (at least, here in the US). Huge tomato leaf and leather aromas. Lush (but never heavy) black cherry buoyed by balancing acid and a finish of velvety tannins laced with leather, licorice, black tea, rosemary, and nutmeg. Perhaps a bit on the wrong side of apogee, but still lovely. Vintage after vintage, every bit the wine top Brunellos are renowned to be at (at least) half the price.
