Casa de Andy. As an advocate of Syrah, this was a letdown. Missing the meaty complexity I look for, and steered towards a sweeter, grape-y style which is my one recurring qualm with Syrah. 14.5% ABV. Syrah will never have the focus of Pinot nor the sheer force of Cabernet, but at its best can be a good middle ground to the two. Disappointing, though could serve as a fine accompaniment to the various pork products being smoked and BBQ'ed today.

$16 Lazy Acres / very nice - fruity sweet but light and clean overall.
