Red fruit on the nose, rhubarb, violets, leather; on the palate there is blueberry, cherry, cassis, some oak influence (vanilla, tannin), leather, spice. Great balance, elegant, soft supple tannins, clean acidity.

Jammy, juicy and with an element of high elevation/mountain tannins.
A slight browning at the edges would normally concern me on a Napa CS "only" 7 years old but (served at room temp) this is just deliciously layered and to my palate, in a perfect drinking window now.
