Clayhouse Wines
Adobe Red Paso Robles Zinfandel Blend
Tastes like it's gone bad, very weird. Kind of a sour, sulfur taste. Disappointing.

Apr 4th, 2013In all honesty, these kind of "a little bit of everything" blends tend to be pretty dull. Easy drinking, certainly, but that's generally not what I'm looking for. The Zin dominates (not surprising as it's about a third of the blend) with bright red, jammy fruit on the nose (and some raisins). The mouth is similar, but the boastful Zin qualities are quickly snuffed out by the heavier Petite Sirah (25%). The finish is actually quite pleasant, though, winding off into sweet, oaky finish (cookie dough and dark chocolate raisins).

Jul 27th, 2015Very nice flavor. Let it breathe for about half an hour to get the full flavor.
