Golden in color with a yellow tint.

Nose of lemons, citrus, green apples, grapefruits, bitter herbs, green pepper, light vanilla, wood, spices and white pepper.

Medium to full bodied, and buttery, with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with citrus, grapefruits, cream, limes, green apples, bitter vegetables, herbs, light vanilla and wood.

Short finish with bitter almonds.

A drinkable Chardonnay from California. Simple and a little bitter on the ending. Not fully balanced, oaky and watery. Not for me. A good food wine, though.

I Paired it with scallops.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

This bottle was in a Dirty Santa gift in 2017. A very decent wine.

Not your grandmother's Clos Du Bois, because she gave it to me. This from-all-over-California Chard's surprisingly doable, unlike your grandma.
But just like her, it tells a story of a simpler time. Back when wine was priced and made well enough and reminded you of the orchards pops worked his entire life.

Pretty good. Tastes like wine. It was free. Or rather the taxpayers of Massachusetts paid for it.
