Clos Du Bois
Hand Selected Lots North Coast Shiraz
Inky in color with a dark brick rim.
Strong fruity nose with black currants, cherries, sweet plums, wood, vanilla, vinaigrette, spices, peppercorn, tobacco and metals.
Full bodied and smooth with medium minus acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, black currants, oak, licorice, vanilla, spices, earth, chocolates, tobacco, peppercorn, vinegar and espresso.
Short finish with soft tannins and black pepper.
This 5 year old is dying, but still drinkable. A little oxidized especially on the nose. Balanced and enjoyable by itself.
I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Not bad at all. Very smooth and a good berry flavour!
