Columbia Valley Red Blend

The 2009 Col Solare Red Wine is simply sensational right now. Needing an hour decant to fully arouse itself, the wine opens with a dazzling range on the nose from cedar to blackberry cordial to mocha and creosote. Once on the palate, the wine yields a great connection between weight and sense of tension. Deep black fruits mingle with graphite, tar and milk chocolate undertones. The exceedingly long finish completes this fantastic wine. Enjoy this over the next decade. Drink 2019-2028- 94

If you know this wine you must have heard about it from a friend, #wordofmouth, good thing it has the National distribution power of Chateau St. Michele, at least according to the wine serving woman. #Antinori

Drinking a magnum. Still a TON of fruit on this one. Little bit jammy as well. Little pepper left on the back end. Nice on its own, going to have it with a nice steak.

Toasted Carmel, slightly port-y,

I would drink this vintage soonish. Nice and smooth, hint of chocolate and some dark cherries and herbs. Nice wine.

Very nice and rounded overall. Despite all the qualities of a great wine, it is a bit too "polished" for American mass taste.

Really good red blend. We had this on 10/7/6. Tastes of boysenberry and violet. Smooth finish to this full bodied wine. Very good as the tannins were smoothed out.

A little flat. Seems ready to turn. Maybe an off year. Usually a great wine.
