Coltibuono
Badia a Coltibuono Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend
Chianti Classico, Chianti, Tuscany, ItalySuper delightful, especially for the price. A bit farty upon opening but with plenty of air (I’ll decant the rest) shows crystalline pure red cherry fruit, savory herbs, and red clay soil. By now, tannins are very soft but acid is forward and fruit-driven, which keeps it interesting. Drinking great with a red sauce. I’ve seen this around, and may grab a few more bottles for casual drinking at an everyday price.

Always great. Coltibuono always captures a classic and refined expression of Chianti.
