Columbia Crest
H3 Horse Heaven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon
Pleasantly surprised, this wine has a delicious rich flavor with lots of berry, dark cherry and chocolate notes. Nicely rounded and drinkable. I like it and think you will too.

Fruity on the nose with blackberries, raisins, cloves, barnyard, cedar, green peppers, vanilla, chocolates, cola, caramel, spices, earth and black pepper.
Medium to full-bodied with medium acidity.
Off dry on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, plums, sweet cherries, strawberry pie, vanilla, cedar, cola, toasted Oak, leather, spices and light peppercorn.
Medium finish with bitter tannins and tart cherries.
A nice Cabernet Sauvignon from Washington State. Very simple, yet a good food wine. A little jammy, but nice for Weekday/everyday. Missing some acidity to balance all the dark fruits. Might be a tad too old. Drink when it's fresh.
I paired it with hard cheeses and olives. Doesn't need too long to open up, but better after 30 minutes.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

The wine is dark ruby red. No sediment. In the nose there was dark berries like blackberry and cassis. Additionally there was a light toast, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and lead pencil. Lots of berries on the palate like blackberry, cassis and vanilla. The body and tannins are moderate to low. The wine was a little narrow. Has a short finish.
