Barolo Nebbiolo

Soulful and got better over time. Candied dark fruit, tobacco and spice. Really elegant.

14 is particularly good and drinking well!! Softer and elegant style.

A supposed tough vintage for Barolo, but a success for Burlotto. Always more open than most young Barolo, this had a bright mix of red fruit and a woodsy nuttiness.

Young barolo, a bit rough tannins, lots of dark berries, liquorice and violet.

Was drunk in comparison with 2013, was quite ordinary and not what I would have thought.

Racy, bright red fruit good value but more importantly great elegance. Really a joy to drink.

My second time, was drunk over 3 hours, nose is muted, taste alright but way too young, come back in 5 years.

Starts out dry with a nice finish. Great value for a 2014 on this wine list for $125

Very impressive for the vintage. Drinking well now. Proof (along w B. Mascarello) that good producers who weren’t hit by hail made good wines. Sadly Cavallotto was wiped out, and Brovia nearly so.
