Compagnie de l'Hermitage
Cuvée des Moines Hermitage Syrah
2012 Compagnie de l'Hermitage Cuvée Des Moines red. This has shut the f*ck down like a brutal portcullis since tasting with George the Greek in Tain last March. I'll bet this is out like a light for a while. Do not open this for at least another 5 years I'd bet.

Not a bad drop at all: quite dense, with reticent legs; nose of rich pepper, wild cherries, and liquorice sticks; well balanced but perhaps a little short, with appropriately balanced acidity. Keep for minimum 8 years!
