Napa at its best. Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Cabernet Franc (22%) and Petit Verdot (18%) from the estate on Pritchard Hill in Oakville, (not far from Colgin and Bryant Family), including fruit from the Mondavi family’s famed and controversial To Kalon vineyard. Silky, opulent, balanced. Well integrated oak. Dried fruit. Hints of vanilla, chocolate

1 hour decant(little cloudy/fine sediment). A wondrous purplish dark garnet. On the nose: A captivating nose of dark cherry, planting soil, herbaceous, sandalwood, pencil shavings, vanilla toast. Taste: beautiful velvety tannins, juicy, balanced wine with blackberry, baking spice, dried herbs, bitter chocolate, and a long red fruit finish. YUM!

Hum? A wine that typically pleases and impresses me. I really felt the heat from this wine, so much so that I couldn't detect any of the flavors. After 1/2 a glass, I covered the decanted wine and I'll try again another day. Maybe it's me?
