At Boqueria. Really nice, starts sweet with some anise, then finishes smooth.

Explosive, but resolves sweetly and richly. Really nice Ribera...one to remember.

nose was pretty gentle- had red berries, dry soil, lots of savory herbs- almost a spicy garrigue- bit of rust.
flavors showed a little leather, bit of olive juice, blackberry, boysenberry, raspberry, faint cranberry.... but all the berries are subdued by a wonderful herbal, savory, meatiness. ribero del duero meets cote du rhone. yum.
