Just Damn Good Wine. Holding up beautifully. Leather and dried dark fruits on the nose but incredibly lively, fresh on the palate. Nuances of spice and tobacco are definitely there but haven't begun to dominate flavor yet. Could hold on to it for another 5 plus years no problem.

At its peak. Doesnt need much more time. 97, the vintage where napa found its stride and style. Something to behold for sure.

How @Cathy Corison managed to make a beautifully refined, ripe-but-not-roasted, tobacco and cassis layered valley floor wine at 13.2% EtOH in a hot year like 1997 is a testament to her superb winemaking.
