Another weekly wine Committee lunch that I was able to attend, hosted by @Weston Eidson & @Colby Siratt . Excellent job, fellas! All wines tasted blind as usual.
This wine was extremely enjoyable as well. Wondered if it was a Zin at first, and then went to Malbec...neither was right. Very complex. Dark. Peppercorn, black licorice, plums, violet.

At first felt like the wine was oxidized but it blew off. What was left was a very mature grenache with not much fruit but more tertiary flavors ... a nice experience but was too mature for me
