Courtney Benham
Carneros Pinot Noir
This is a nice and easy drinking Pinot Noir from Napa Valley.
Showing red and black fruits with oak, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, bitter herbs, light vanilla, spices and coffee.
Dry on the palate with medium acidity, and much more intense than the color suggested.
Spicy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
Fruit forward with some earth notes, that make it interesting.
Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. Tannins show up after 30 minutes of airtime.
Good by itself or with food. I gave it a light chill and paired it with BBQ lamb chops.
14.2% alcohol by volume.
88 points.
$25.

Well balanced smooth Pinot without the funk that turns me off in a lot of Pinots. I’d drink again.

Apr 30th, 2021First wine of 2021! Not a bad start I would say. Light Pinot with a super quick finish.
