Cowan Cellars
Bennett Valley Syrah
We're not supposed to have favorite #Wine are we? This bottle has been revisited more than others.
The color is deep, opaque and extends all the way to the edge. The meniscus is non existent for a 14.2% alc wine. The outskirts of the rim have a slight red hue.
The nose is filled with subtle mushroom earth and pepper working its way to the nose. Lots of fine lavender, blue flowers.
The palate is tremendous. Fruits layer in. blackberry to black raspberry finishing with lingering damp cassis. Body is light and tannins are in harmony and balance with the timing of the flavor profile.
All day long baby! Opened 11/17/15
