Dark ruby color. Very funky and somewhat hot right out of the bottle. Eventually, aromas and flavors of jammy black cherry/berry/currant did emerge with additional hints of coffee and toasted oak. Acidity was pretty bright, great on the mid-palate, but the finish was very short. Medium-plus body and fairly rich. Much brighter and better on the second day. Took about 35 mins to open up and wow! Great with Filet. Alive and flavorful with soft tannins. Fruit forward with a balanced finish. Very easy to drink.
