Nice new world Pinot. Feels likes it's been pumped with something a bit heavier, but maintains a lot of the rocky textures. Good stuff. Spicy even.

Growing up on a working farm in NY, Paul experienced first-hand the influence of terroir on the character of fruit, his father had him taste apples of the same variety grown in different orchards several miles apart from one another. Aromas of berry fruits and herb notes. On the palate juicy blackberry and strawberry with black tea and herb spice. Elegant soft savory tannins on lingering finish ending with mineral tones.

Superb effort from the value-oriented line by Paul Hobbs. Singing after 30 minutes. Black cherry with an exotic edge to it, fresh earth, baking spice, and lemon verbena.

High alcohol level Pinot noir. Dark ruby color with plum and bing cherry flavors. Good tannin placement with balanced acidity and a round body. Overblown for food pairing but it’s good by itself.

Early evening wine tasting at Neat Bottle Shop in Alys Beach.
.
Pretty decent PN, especially at the price point. Every time I try it I think, “Not bad” but I’ve never gone out of my way to buy a bottle 🤷🏻‍♂️

We had 2014. Like it very much. 4-5 grape bunches.

Rhubarb on the nose. Dark honey and black cherry. Baked fruit. Sage but in honey. Finish is tannin free and smooth. Compared to a burgundy we tasted it next to it is a lot fatter and sweeter.
