Monopole Rioja Blanco Viura

#Viura a little richer and rounder than I remember. Starts out briny with melon, finishes with some pineapple/tangerine. Nice texture.

Pale yellow. Pretty noisy aromas of lines, melons and grass screaming their way out of this liquid. In the mouth the profile goes more for lemon, grapefruit and peaches. The finish brings back the limes and melons. Light and crisp and packed with asskicking acidity.

Sort of a cross between Sauvignon Blanc & an aged Chablis. Lots of citrus but an undertone of mineral, petrol & limestone

Light with a slight salinity.

2015 less zippy than previous vintages I remember. But still incredibly likable, versatile and outstanding bang for buck

Subtle closed nose of underripe honeydew, green apple, lemon pith. bitter finish, and medium + acidity.

👃🏻 melón, piña, cítricos dulces buena potencia 👄 ligero en la entrada, paso correcto, final controlado pero no muy sabroso, agradable.

Easy, breezy.
