Deep garnet. Aromatic, floral, red fruit. Violet, spice, sage, thyme and bacon fat. M- acid, m body and soft round tannin. Still has lots of structure. Black fruit, saline and baking spices. If tasted blind, I would never call it a 2001. It still has a lot of time left. Fantastic!

So well made and super quality fruit. With 20 years this bottle was still quite rich and a full palate of mixed dark berries. It didn’t fade over the course of the meal. A pleasure to share with friends. Superb in every way. 🍷🍷

This is big, lots of tannin. Can easily sit a bit longer...amazing since I opened a 2001. Probably will get better with age. I wish I could rate higher given how good the vineyard is...but it was not ready.
