Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Beautiful Aged Napa Cab. Still has many years ahead of it.

A beauty. But lacked something.

Delicious, on tail end of maturity, drink up.

Over the hill overall, but killed it during the 30-90 minute window.

Funky, interesting, but well past its prime.

The 91s are hit or miss at this advanced age, but this one was spectacular. For my palate the 94s are still better and more consistent right now.

Good nose, nice acidity has allowed the wine to hold up 26+ years. Fruit diminishing but still very enjoyable. Nearly no sediment, in hind site would not have decanted, would have let it open in the glass.

Bordeaux in CA.

'91 Dalla Valle Can Deep glistening currant in color. Sweet cassis, black cherry with a touch of mushroom & cigar on the plate. Finishes long.
