Damilano
Barbera d'Asti
Picked up at Arrowine for about $16 (does not seem to be a great deal). Lots of fruit (sour cherry), a bit in your face, and somewhat one-dimensional. Acidic finish. That said, quite pleasant.

Aug 29th, 2016Considered an "everyday wine" compared to its Piedmonte bros Barolo and Barbaresco, this barbera paired beautifully with pork cheek ravioli. Cherry undertones. Acidic. Yum.

Nov 8th, 2015Beautiful roundness and woodsy fruit that mellows lusciously with food. A little lighter than I'd like but still gorgeous.

Nov 7th, 2015$16 at my local wine shop. First Barbera, and it was delicious! Light bodied with cherry and strawberry jam notes on the nose and palate. My only complaint is that it it does have some volatile acidity--as the wine warmed in my glass I got a slight whiff of acetone.
