Moulin de Gassac Pinot Noir

Good easy drinking Pinot, great quality for the value. not a wine to think about just one to enjoy in its simplicity.

Think and funky, not in a good way. Not my favorite.

A solid PN from Languedoc, especially for their first vintage.

Raspberries - light and sweet

Really had no fortitude for being a pinot noir. Earthy on the nose but absolutely no depth beyond that. Underwhelmed.

Good inexpensive PN. Light but a bit richer than many others from France. Stewed raspberry.

Tastes like PN. Dark fruits, weight, and smells like garrigue. Def warm weather. Not much depth.

The newsletter says this is their very first Pinot Noir, described as "bone dry", perhaps a euphemism for "not much flavor". On the other hand, it is a red wine at 12.5 ABV so it needs to be encouraged. Not a sipping wine - but it comes alive as a condiment wine. With dry-brined grilled pork in this case. Not sure if it is worth another look when it gets older.
